Sourcing Manager LocationThis remote position is based in Texas. Travel throughout the assigned region is required, including periodic travel to Millwood's corporate office in Vienna, Ohio
Reporting RelationshipsThe Sourcing Manager will report directly to the Director of Sales and work closely with Regional Sales Managers, Customer Support Managers, Operations Leadership, and other cross-functional team members. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic supplier relationships, ensuring a reliable supply network, and supporting Company objectives through effective sourcing, cost management, and vendor performance initiatives aligned with Millwood's mission and values.

Essential duties and responsibilities- Lead all aspects of strategic sourcing activities within the assigned region, including supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, onboarding, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve sourcing and category management strategies that support profitability, supply continuity, and business growth objectives.
- Develop proficiency in Millwood's pallet design software and become a subject matter expert capable of supporting costing, quoting, and sourcing decisions.
- Develop working knowledge of Millwood's order entry and customer support systems to provide operational support as needed, including order management, customer communications, accounts receivable follow-up, and cross-functional coverage.
- Provide timely and accurate pricing support to Regional Sales Managers utilizing approved costing methodologies, market intelligence, and internal Millwood systems.
- Maintain current pricing by material and region for comparison of regions.
- Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, quoting, and activity records within Salesforce. Document supplier capabilities, visit reports, and key business developments in a timely manner.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier-related issues and facilitate timely resolution through collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Analyze procurement and market data to identify cost reduction opportunities, improve supplier performance, benchmark spending trends, and support strategic decision-making.
- Conduct monthly reviews of customer pricing and sourcing costs to identify market-based adjustment opportunities and review recommendations with Regional Sales Managers.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and onboard qualified supplier partners to strengthen Millwood's supply network. Maintain an active pipeline of prospective suppliers and establish new supplier relationships based on regional sales growth and operational needs.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Quality, and Millwood manufacturing facilities to support costing initiatives, supplier performance, quality improvement efforts, and growth opportunities.
- Travel approximately 25% or more as business needs require to develop supplier relationships, conduct supplier evaluations, support sales initiatives, and identify new sourcing opportunities. Vendor visit reports and Salesforce updates are expected within 48 hours of each visit
- Support annual sourcing objectives, supplier diversity initiatives, and cost savings goals established by leadership.
- Assist in developing contingency sourcing plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure continuity of supply.
- Collaborate with operations and quality teams to resolve supplier-related quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in strategic planning activities to support regional growth and profitability objectives.

Required Education, Experience, Certification, Licenses, Registration- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is preferred or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, supplier development, or related disciplines, with demonstrated success in supplier negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, or other CRMs required.
- Current and valid driver's license, with a clean driving record, and the ability to rent a car.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
- Experience within pallet manufacturing, lumber, wood products, packaging, logistics, or industrial manufacturing environments is preferred.
