Full Job Description
Purpose of Position

As a Manager, Software Engineering, you will contribute to the direction of technology that impacts NetJets ability to create an exceptional owner experience one travel at a time. Expect to work on complex challenges in large-scale computing, utilizing your expertise in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. Your focus will include building and operating new software or data solutions in the cloud, integrating with vendor software packages, Instrumentation, support, and troubleshooting. If you are passionate about leading teams in developing world-class software, managing high-performance, and have experience in building distributed systems or mobile applications for the undisputed leader in private aviation, we want to hear from you.

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Hire and manage the performance of technical resources (business analysts, quality assurance and software engineers) based on delivery outcomes
• Coach and mentor software engineering teams, maximizing the abilities of each team member to reach their fullest potential and meet their individual and organizational goals
• Ensure the team is appropriately skilled to achieve regular delivery and support of owned applications (through hiring and upskilling)
• Collaborate across the organization for "one-team" initiatives that require multiple groups to deliver.
• Create baseline assessment and path toward maturity for testing, automation (Unit test coverage, testing automation, pipeline automation, code scanning, etc.)
• Ensure proper priority of business value, to include technology hygiene and risk
• Accountable for the stabilization, resilience, and technical hygiene of relevant applications
• Influence and drive delivery of technical solutions in an Agile environment (TDD, CI/CD) with a focus on continuous improvement of process, speed to market and roadmap priorities alignment
• Lead and drive engineering, architecture, and development teams to define and influence technical direction for relevant applications
• Support mission critical (24x7) applications with the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement reducing production outages/incidents while driving stability and reliability
• Manage vendor relationships including the adherence of delivery commitments and adherence to internal standards
