The manager partners closely with sales, product, and customer success leadership to build a high-performing, industry-credible pre-sales function.

What you'll do at UiPath
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of Sales Engineers focused on the life sciences vertical, setting priorities and holding the team to a consistent standard of technical and industry credibility
  • Partner with sales leadership to build account and territory strategy, allocate SE coverage, and identify growth opportunities across life sciences accounts
  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality, industry-specific demonstrations and proof-of-value engagements that show how automation and AI improve regulated business processes
  • Personally engage on strategic or complex deals as a player-coach, including executive-level conversations and technical architecture discussions
  • Drive consistency in discovery methodology so the team can quantify business value and uncover automation opportunities across accounts
  • Represent the life sciences SE team in cross-functional planning with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success, feeding field insights back into the roadmap
  • Champion best-practice sharing across the broader go-to-market organization and represent the life sciences point of view in company-wide SE initiatives
What you'll bring to the team
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard Sales Engineers with life sciences domain expertise, building bench strength ahead of pipeline growth
  • Set individual and team goals, conduct regular 1:1s, and manage performance including coaching plans and, where needed, corrective action
  • Own capacity and coverage planning across accounts and deals, balancing workload and career development opportunities
  • Develop enablement and certification plans so the team stays current on the platform, AI capabilities, and life sciences regulatory and compliance context (e.g., GxP, validation requirements)
  • Create a feedback loop with the team to surface product gaps and competitive intelligence specific to life sciences
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture and support career progression paths for Sales Engineers

Required Qualifications

  • Strong coaching, hiring, and performance-management skills
  • Excellent executive communication skills, able to represent the team with customers, partners, and internal leadership
  • Background in consulting, sales engineering, or automation programs
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% annually
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience managing or leading a team of Sales Engineers, solutions consultants, or technical pre-sales professionals
  • Prior individual-contributor experience as a Sales Engineer or Solution(s) Engineer selling into life sciences accounts
  • Experience scaling a pre-sales team through a period of growth
  • Familiarity with agentic automation, RPA, and AI/ML-driven process transformation
