About the Role

The Manager, Safety Management Services & Consulting is a senior, client-facing leader responsible for executing and overseeing high-quality OHS management consulting services while leading a team of Safety Advisors/Consultants who deliver work for clients. The role serves as the technical and delivery lead for the practice-setting standards for quality, coaching the team, and ensuring consistent, defensible, and practical client outcomes. This position includes business development participation and a primary focus is excellence in delivery, team performance, and practice capability.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver OHS management consulting engagements (e.g., assessments, audits, investigations, project specific risk assessments, program development, contractor safety, training, and SMS implementation).
  • Own project execution for client work: scope clarity, work planning, stakeholder engagement, and delivery to timelines and quality expectations.
  • Provide practical guidance grounded in legislation, standards, and best practice.
  • Serve as the practice technical lead for Safety Management Services.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve practice tools, templates, and methodologies.
  • Provide technical review and quality assurance for high-risk or high-profile deliverables.
  • Ensure services remain current with evolving legislation, enforcement expectations, and industry practice.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients through trusted-advisor service, responsiveness, and consistent delivery quality.
  • Support proposal development and client pursuits by contributing technical strategy, scope development, methodology, and interviews/presentations.
  • Identify service expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and market presence through presentations and client education.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 20+ years of progressive experience in OHS roles, including significant experience in consulting or complex operational environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams or projects and managing multiple concurrent client deliverables.
  • Professional designation such as CHSC, CRSP, or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Experience in infrastructure, transportation, aviation/airports, construction, or industrial environments is an asset.


Compensation & Benefits

The estimated pay range for this position is $115,000 to $130,000 as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.

Please note that this range reflects base pay only and does not include the competitive bonus program or the comprehensive benefits package offered by RAM Consulting.
