About the Role

For this expression of interest, we are seeking a Construction Manager, Electrical Utility Projects to support the delivery of large, complex utility infrastructure projects across British Columbia.

This role is ideal for someone with strong construction management experience, a solid understanding of project and contract delivery, and exposure to electrical utility environments.

The Construction Manager will lead construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, with quality, on budget, and on schedule.

What You'll Be Working On
  • Lead construction delivery for large, complex electrical utility projects and programs
  • Manage materials, budgets, labour, contractors, and project resources
  • Support safe execution of work through site observations, safety feedback, and strong knowledge of safety standards
  • Identify and manage project risks, including safety, environmental, reputational, stakeholder, and Indigenous Relations considerations
  • Support public consultation and stakeholder engagement related to construction activities
  • Respond to internal, third-party, and stakeholder inquiries in a professional and collaborative manner
  • Act as a subject matter expert on construction-related technical issues
  • Support claims management, contract administration, and cross-functional project coordination
  • Work closely with project teams, clients, contractors, stakeholders, and First Nations communities


What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years of construction management experience, ideally on utility, infrastructure, or electrical utility projects
  • Experience supporting BC Hydro projects, standards, processes, or project environments is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of project management and contract management
  • Excellent knowledge of safety standards and regulations, including WorkSafeBC and Occupational Safety requirements
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage complex construction issues in a calm, professional, and solutions-focused way
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English


Compensation & Benefits

The estimated annual base salary for this position is $105,000 - $115,000 as of the posting date. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and training.

Please note that this range reflects base pay only and does not include the competitive bonus program or the comprehensive benefits package offered by RAM Consulting.
