We are seeking a Manager, Record to Report, Company Restaurants Accounting to work collaboratively with a highly talented team overseeing the accounting functions within Restaurant Brands International Inc. [“RBI”] (including iconic brands Tim Hortons, Burger King, Popeyes and Firehouse Subs).
This individual will be a part of the Record to Report Tower in Global Business Services [“GBS”] and will be a critical member of the Company’s accounting processes. The role will involve oversight of the company restaurant accounting programs and the coordination of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. This position provides the opportunity to gain broad experience in accounting operations, financial reporting and corporate accounting. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic working environment and has a passion for undertaking process improvement projects in a wide spectrum of areas (e.g. IT, Technical Accounting, SOX).
RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Successful candidates will be expected to work onsite 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Executing month end GL close and internal control processes.
Being the key resource bringing together technical accounting, SAP knowledge and internal processes to meet the needs of the business.
Preparing analyses and developing processes for the team to record and monitor accounting transactions.
Reviewing and ensuring timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
Working on several important projects collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the company.
Preparing statutory financial statements.
Being a key point of contact for external and internal auditors, including coordinating work to be carried out by the auditors (e.g. SOX and Accounting).
Reviewing key monthly deliverables to be provided to the Global Accounting and SEC Reporting teams (e.g. PBCs, Business reports).
Skills & Requirements:
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and/or Controller experience.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desire to develop and learn particularly oriented towards process understanding and automation techniques.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to learn processes and procedures quickly.
Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to successfully establish relationships.
Ability to work well in a dynamic, high pace environment.
Great attention to detail and the ability to prepare high quality work.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with large complex data structures.
Self-starter and able to work proactively and independently.

For Candidates Based in Ontario, the Expected Salary Range is:
Base salary range of $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 CAD. Base salary for this position may vary based on relevant factors such as experience, education, location, and skills. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the incentive program, based on individual and company performance metrics. This position may also be eligible for additional compensation in the form of equity grants pursuant to the Company’s long-term incentive plan.
