Full Job Description
The Production Manager oversees all aspects of the production process, from planning and coordination to execution and delivery. This includes managing and developing personnel, resources, timelines, and quality control. The goal is to ensure products are manufactured safely, on time, within budget, and to the required specifications.

Position Responsibilities:

Health & Safety:
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the production area.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure staff are properly trained on safety procedures.

Quality Control:
• Monitor production processes to ensure that product standards, safety regulations, and quality standards are met.
• Implement and oversee quality control systems and address any deviations from standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and environmental laws and company policies.

Production Planning:
• Implement production schedules to meet company goals and costumer deadlines.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and quality.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., scheduling, fabrication, quality control, and materials) to ensure smooth workflow.

Resource / Cost Management:
• Ensure that production resources are available and that any shortages are addressed promptly.
• Work within the allocated production budget and ensure cost-efficiency in operations.
• Monitor expenses and make recommendations for reducing production related costs.

Team Management / People Development:
• Supervise and lead the production team, including operators, team leaders.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate direct report performance.
• Manage shift schedules and allocate tasks to meet production targets.

Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues and inefficiencies.
• Support/leading new technologies or processes to improve SQDC (safety, quality, delivery and cost) that improves production capacity and reduce costs.

Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and submit regular production reports to senior management.
• Maintain records of production schedules, performance data, and quality control results.

Knowledge & Skills Skills & Qualifications:
• Proven experience in a production management/engineering role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of production planning software and systems(e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Strong communication/presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and regulatory standards.
• Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with ISO standards.

Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in a high-volume and fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferred
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferred

Education/Certification: Preferred Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience

People Management: Yes

Physical Requirements / Work Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations

Must be able to work on any shift, as required
