United under Trenchant, we are a key component of L3Harris' Intelligence and Cyber Sector, now the core of the newly established Cyber division. We are a trusted, discrete partner furnishing security products, consultancy, training and integration services to allied security, defense, and law enforcement agencies.

Essential Functions
  • Lead, mentor and support a large cadre of experienced engineering individuals overseeing teams across the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand
  • Own product intent, portfolio priorities, and trade-off decisions across assigned product lines, acting as the accountable voice for both engineering and product outcomes
  • Devise and apply communications strategies to align a global, cross-functional workforce around product and delivery goals
  • Engage stakeholders to reconcile strategic, commercial, and technical priorities - translating customer signal into product direction
  • Assemble and monitor high-performance, multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Set objectives, monitor performance, promote communication, and ensure the well-being of direct reports
  • Support administrative tasks to ensure timely processing of actions affecting direct reports

Technical & Product Responsibilities
  • Define and guard product intent - establishing what each product is, what it is not, and who it is for - and restate this when scope pressure arises
  • Collaborate with team leads to review high-level architecture, internal project goals, and technical barriers
  • Partner with stakeholders to refine project priorities and adapt deliveries based on evolving market and customer requirements
  • Analyze program requirements and develop effort estimates in conjunction with program management partners
  • Maintain depth in respective disciplines and contribute to ongoing software projects in research, engineering, or quality assurance

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Substantial experience in CNO development/offensive cyber security.
  • Experience in low-level programming languages and instruction sets.
  • Ability to install and operate developer debugging tools on Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Hopper and dynamic tools such as Frida or ADB.
  • Demonstrated proficiency of mobile platform (Android or iOS) internals, native programming languages (Objective-C, Swift, Java, and/or Kotlin), and system security mechanisms.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, process automation, quality engineering, or network operations.
  • Working knowledge of operating system and application vulnerability classes.

  • Proven experience analyzing malware samples and understanding mitigations provided by software patches.

  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), git workflows, and continuous integration/delivery platforms (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab).
  • Knowledge and practical experience with agile software development methodologies.
  • 4+ years of experience leading a team.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Work may be performed in an office environment with people in close proximity.
  • Duties require working with a global team and may periodically necessitate working outside of normal working hours (evenings, holidays, and weekends).
  • Ability to sit at a desk, look at a monitor, and type for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate and troubleshoot computers.
  • May require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Washington DC is $117,000 - $218,000.
