About the Position:
Walmart's Global Sourcing & Procurement - Energy team sits at the heart of one of the world's largest corporate sustainability portfolios. We drive end-to-end sourcing strategy across On-Site renewables (solar, BESS, microgrids) and Off-Site energy programs, partnering with Finance, Legal, Facilities, and executive leadership to deliver measurable cost efficiency and decarbonization outcomes at enterprise scale.
What you'll do...- Develop and execute a structured energy procurement roadmap encompassing large, multi-year capital and operating spend, including competitive EPC RFx programs spanning dozens of projects across the portfolio.
- Disaggregate On-Site developer models to establish scalable sourcing architectures for OEM, EPC, and O&M components-unlocking sourcing optionality and reducing margin stacking.
- Lead Safe Harbor equipment procurement to capture long-term ITC value, and manage deregulated electricity and natural gas sourcing programs across U.S. and international markets.
- Build and maintain robust energy market intelligence to strengthen negotiation posture and proactively mitigate regulatory, tariff, and geopolitical risk.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders across Energy Transformation, Finance, Legal, and Facilities-positioning procurement as a strategic partner in capital planning and investment decisions.
What you'll bring: - 2+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, including 1+ years in energy, utilities, construction, or other technical categories, with demonstrated ownership of material, enterprise-level spend.
- Deep knowledge of energy procurement, including On-Site renewables (solar, BESS, EPCs), Off-Site markets (deregulated electricity and gas, PPAs, tax equity), and IRA/ITC incentive structures.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate complex energy economics into clear, executive-ready sourcing strategies and recommendations.
- Proven RFx development and execution track record, delivering measurable value through competitive sourcing, commercial innovation, and disaggregation strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or energy-industry certifications (e.g., PE, CEP, CEM) strongly preferred.
