Purpose of Job

The Manager, Portfolio Insights & Analytics, contributes to the overall success of the Portfolio Insights and Analytics team, within Global Investment Solutions (GIS), ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team's and broader GIS global mandates and objectives. The role supports scalable proposal delivery, investment data management, reporting, and analytics capabilities that enable domestic and international wealth channels, while ensuring all activities are conducted in adherence with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

This role contributes to the success of core Portfolio Insights and Analytics service offering with accountability for supporting standardized proposal and managed program collateral, strengthening data management practices, and delivering consistent, high-quality outputs aligned to business priorities and client needs.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
Standardize proposal and investment data management for domestic and international wealth channels
• Manage the day-to-day delivery of the standardized proposal service offering, including workflow coordination, quality oversight, and execution support for investment proposals, external account reviews, and related client-facing content across wealth channels.
• Enhance and maintain standardized proposal templates, content requirements, quality controls, disclosure standards, and governance routines to improve consistency, scalability, turnaround times, and alignment with branding and regulatory expectations.
• Manage the investment data management function by coordinating the sourcing, collection, validation, maintenance, recurring updates, and controlled use of data from various internal and external sources to support deliverables, including proposals, reporting, analytics, dashboards, platform collateral, and uploads to relevant portfolio management and reporting systems.
• Define and embed data quality standards, controls, and reconciliation practices to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of holdings, benchmarks, performance, and related proposal inputs.
• Drive process redesign, data migration support, and continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve workflow transparency, and strengthen the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of proposal, reporting, analytics and program collateral processes.

Platform support, reporting and tools for domestic and international wealth distribution channels
• Responsible for creating and updating various reports and tools used by SJF, ScotiaMcLeod, MD Financial and International Wealth Advisors/ Relationship Managers.
• Update monthly/quarterly investment performance and risk metric reports for UHNW clients using analytics software such as FactSet/ Bloomberg/ Morningstar Direct
• Provide ongoing support to the field by responding to and anticipating queries about investment performance and client concerns using Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Mpower and Crystal Reports.
• Regularly update the SJF approved securities list to reflect changes in all segregated models within the SJF investment platform

Strategic Initiatives
• Support the execution of the strategic roadmap by helping advance a standardized operating model across the proposal and data management pillars, with clear processes, controls, service definitions, ownership, and coordination across key stakeholder groups.
• Support the development of the future-state proposal framework, including standardized content architecture, reusable components, workflow orchestration, and integration points with investment data and analytics platforms.
• Support the evolution of data management capabilities, including governance, control frameworks, and process standardization, to improve trust in data used across proposals, reporting, and analytical outputs.
• Create and support the production of management reporting that tracks proposal demand, service levels, data quality, process efficiency, and adoption of standardized capabilities to support continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.

• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:
• Over 5 years of investment related experience with understanding of financial markets and portfolio management theory
• Experience working effectively with Advisors, Relationship Managers, and Portfolio Managers, with a strong understanding of wealth management channels and client service requirements.
• Strong knowledge of investment data, performance and reporting methodologies, proposal content requirements, and the controls needed to support high-quality client and business outputs.
• Undergraduate degree required in business, finance, economics or accounting is preferred.
• CFA, CAIA, CIM, CIMA, CSC, CPH, or progress toward a relevant investment industry designation is preferred.
• Experience with investment data platforms and productivity tools such as FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, StyleAdvisor, Power BI, Microsoft Office, and workflow, automation, or reporting tools that support scalable proposal and data management processes is desirable.
• Strong project management and change leadership experience, including process standardization, data migration, workflow optimization, and the use of technical or automation capabilities such as advanced Excel, Power BI, or VBA to improve operating efficiency.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, relationship management, and people leadership skills, with the ability to translate business needs into standardized proposal and data management solutions and support the development of team capabilities.
