Manager, Planning - Pipelines

Summary
The Planning Manager, Pipelines is responsible for overseeing elements of major pipeline projects. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of pipeline engineering, procurement, and construction sequencing.This new position reports to the Director, Pipeline Planning & Scheduling, and will be based at our office in Houston, Texas, with potential for travel to project locations and contractor offices.
General Description Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborating with contractors and functional leads to develop and maintain effective schedules from feasibility through execution.
- Ownership and accountability for schedule data and supporting processes by using the schedule as a management and communications tool.
Qualifications
Required experience
- 10+ years of relevant planning & scheduling and project controls experience in major Oil & Gas engineering and construction projects, particularly pipeline infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of linear construction, contractor management, and interaction with EPCM firms.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Dedicated work ethic with ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities and business needs, and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and TILOS scheduling software, and Acumen Fuse.
- Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Visio skills.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fields.
Licensing & Certifications
- Preferred certifications include those from PMI: PMP, PMI-SP and AACE: PSP, EVP, CCP.
