Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manager to help manage Scripted series for a Kids and Family audience through third-party production companies. This role will also be working with our Live-action Content Executives to advise on production matters for Scripted Co-productions and acquisitions.Candidates must have scripted series experience as a producer, line producer, or production executive.  Responsibilities include selecting and vetting partner studios/companies; vetting key hires at the partner; potentially creating the initial schedule and budget for the project, and managing at a distance all aspects of the production via our partner studios.  This role reports into Live-Action, Kids & Family Series Production Management, working closely with Unscripted Series, to execute on Kids Live Action slate. The Role A successful candidate will be passionate and curious about production planning & logistics. They will be self-motivated, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, thorough, and capable in juggling multiple responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail at all times. The ideal candidate is not just curious, but thrives on the thrill of uncovering the next piece of the puzzle. This is a demanding and fast moving position requiring someone who is a proactive and positive thinker that is able to exercise good judgment and initiative while working with a high volume production slate. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support the production through various processes during the setup and execution of the project such as guidance on binding insurance, disseminating information to the studio, and uploading deliverable materials, creating and communicating complex information both internally and externally Work with executives, showrunners and line producers to prepare and vet show budgets and schedules, providing feedback on viability and risks Review creative/scripts & begin defining series production strategy and determine budget estimates from development to lock Track & manage costs with Finance, keeping stakeholders apprised of status Collaborate with internal teams (including Post and Localization) & external production teams to lock schedules Troubleshoot and communicate all changes to schedule and delivery Lead or assist with search and hire of key production staff Determine key vendors to accommodate creative vision, financing considerations, budget needs, location factors Assist with identification and curation of experienced, high-quality production staff and crew Any duties as necessary to support the productions. Qualifications: 7+ years experience working in production management for scripted series in the field, at a network, or production company. Candidates will likely be at the line producer/head of production level equivalent outside of Netflix. Ability to handle a fast paced environment, simultaneously supporting several projects in various phases of production (from evaluation to production through delivery) and courage to take educated risks while thinking outside the box while always responding in a timely manner Team-player who operates in a fast paced team-oriented setting Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly Passionately curious about all aspects of production. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask Proficiency in Google Applications (including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail and Drive) Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $201,000.00 - $343,000.00.
