Full Job Description
Neuberger is seeking a Vice President of GP Reporting to join our Private Equity Finance Group in New York. Neuberger's GP Reporting ("GP Reporting") is responsible for oversight and management of Neuberger Berman's private equity carry program. Key areas of focus include: creation of governing documents with legal, tax and the business, grant notice issuance to plan participants, carry plan participant reporting, firm wide financial reporting, management reporting and operational and control infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the business, Legal and Human Resources to issue Notice of Grants to plan participants
  • Execute and record General Partner capital calls, distributions and carry payments
  • Update quarterly mark-to-market of GP investments
  • Manage GP carry plan partner and management reporting; respond to GP carry plan inquiries
  • Oversee General Ledger (GL) entries for the Firm's monthly close
  • Provide support for firm financial reporting and financial statement audits
  • Implement new processes and controls to support a growing and dynamic business
  • Understand and identify reporting requirements for new fund launches
  • Collaborate with Technology to design and implement control, process, and reporting enhancements
  • Improve and enhance the administrator oversight model for the Private Equity Carry Program


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant fields of study; CPA is a plus
  • 10+ years of accounting or finance experience in private equity
  • Experience with private equity carry plans including agreement review, valuation of interests, implications of forfeiture upon departure and familiarity with tax concepts
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data integrity and accuracy
  • Strong technical skills required, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Well-organized with the ability to pivot as needed due to shifting priorities; strong problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator - verbal, written, presentation and project planning
  • Demonstrated ability to work across teams and with professionals of varying degrees of seniority
  • Project management skills with a proven history of delivering system enhancements and creating efficiencies focused on carry reporting, administration, and controls

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $160,000-$180,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
