8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or as required (7.5HR/ DAY)

SALARY RANGE:

$86,968 to $108,710

Telework

This position is eligible for telework, which is currently one day per week. New hires are eligible to apply 30 days after their effective date of hire.

Summary

The Manager of Operations Program Support will assist in managing MTA Construction and Development's efforts to implement various support functions for an MTA Capital Program and Business Operations component. Responsible for helping with timely decision-making, identifying issues, and enabling efficient, high-quality work products for support functions. Manages and develops unit staff.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing the implementation of administrative functions, including but not limited to some of the following areas: compensation, employee/labor relations, payment coordination, timecard/job charge management, space management (including field offices), non-revenue vehicle management, training/travel requests, overtime management, and equipment/supplies management.

Support coordination with related parties throughout C&D, which includes management and oversight of the C&D compensation team.

Training, coaching, and developing staff on MTA Compensation guidelines as well as automated salary worksheet processes and workflows.

Manage and support improvements in developing, analyzing, reporting, and maintaining compensation data for consolidated agencies within the related systems supporting business units and departmental operations.

Conducted audits, ran queries to identify issues, provided recommendations, and supported resolution in coordination with senior management.

Manage and prepare data analysis, reporting, and presentations.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, or a related field.

Must have a minimum of six (6) years of related experience.

A Master's Degree is preferred in one of the disciplines listed above, or a related field may substitute for two years of the required experience.

Competencies:

Experience in highly analytical roles performing auditing, running queries, or other relevant analytical experience is preferred.

Experience with MTA policies, procedures, and processes related to departmental operations and administration preferred.

Excellent writing, grammar, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with an aptitude for managing detailed analytical work.

Must have focus and the ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and discretion.

Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and team members.

Excellent problem-solving, listening, and prioritization skills.

Ability to work in a high-profile, high-pressure environment effectively.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Teams, or similar applications.

Proficiency in PeopleSoft, Power BI, and project management applications (such as Visio) preferred.
