About the role

The purpose of the First Line Leader role is to develop and enable a team of warehouse operators to consistently deliver outstanding safety, quality, service and value. It is a key role in ensuring that the business strategy is delivered through an engaged, motivated, and capable team. This position works 12 hr shift.

Role Responsibilities

  • Leading and coaching of teams to ensure adherence to standards for safety, quality, compliance, and output.
  • Working with the team to continuously improve the capability of both the individuals and the overall team to increase their performance towards targets.
  • Engaging and inspiring staff in the future targets by sharing the vision, area objectives, and helping the team to understand the value they add of the work that they are responsible for.
  • Ensuring development plans are undertaken on a regular basis using Human Resource’s methodologies. This includes ensuring that the training required is identified, recorded using the appropriate method, and ensure that the training is undertaken using local processes and completed on time.
  • Setting expectations on an individual’s behavior and performance, by ensuring that regular feedback is provided both by formal routes and in regular Gemba and coaching sessions.  This ensures the expectations are met and the individual or team are held accountable for the duties.
  • Disciplinary, absence management (PTO, FMLA, etc.), grievance procedures in accordance with country/site while providing input to Company systems e.g. SAP, Workday etc.
  • Setting target conditions, and delivering against this, to achieve improvements in performance to meet future business needs.
  • Fully deploying performance management processes within area ensuring accurate and timely data is used.
  • Real time issue identification and resolution involving staff. Including running Problem-solving process with staff and necessary Support Functions and ensure that the appropriate Deviation CAPA’s and robust and that problem-solving
    processes are used to avoid re-occurrence of issues.
  • Keeps alignment to the process and provides data for the tiered accountability meetings within the area and on site. Following through on resulting actions in a timely fashion

Why you?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position is desired.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in most, if not all, of the following and employees developing into this role should develop experience and demonstrated success in the following:

  • Logistics Experience preferred

The salary range for this position is $79,766 to 109,678.80 plus a 8% performance bonus.
