What You'll Do

Works under the direction of the Director of Perioperative Services to plan, implement, direct, coordinate, and evaluate clinical operations across the continuum of surgical care including PAAC, Preop, Main Operating Room, and PACU. Provides leadership for operational excellence, patient experience, quality outcomes, employee engagement, change management, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides operational and clinical leadership for PAAC, Preop, Main Operating Room, and PACU.

  • Leads change management initiatives across the surgical continuum to support strategic and operational priorities.

  • Serves as a champion for continuous process improvement utilizing evidence-based practices and data-driven decision making.

  • Identifies, prioritizes, and leads multidisciplinary improvement initiatives designed to enhance patient experience, quality outcomes, and employee engagement.

  • Analyzes patient experience feedback, quality metrics, employee engagement data, and operational performance indicators to develop sustainable action plans.

  • Promotes a culture of accountability, innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Leads efforts to improve patient throughput, reduce delays, eliminate waste, and optimize workflow efficiencies while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.

  • Collaborates with physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing leadership, and ancillary departments to redesign processes that improve access, patient flow, quality outcomes, and service excellence.

  • Develops and monitors key performance indicators related to patient experience, employee engagement, quality outcomes, financial stewardship, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
