Position Purpose
This position is responsible and accountable for planning and leading staff to assume accountability for decisions and actions of cost-effective patient care in the department in accordance with Federal, State, and JCAHO requirements and organizational goals. Ensures that off campus facilities maintain and represent Renown Health System mission and goals.
Nature and Scope
The major challenges to this position include all aspects of the Radiology services, to include all imaging modalities, clerical, transcription, and film library functions, as well as registration, reception and marketing functions for the facility.
The incumbent is generally responsible for all operational aspects of Radiology which may include ordering of supplies, scheduling patients, cross-training staff, scheduling staff, budget preparation, hiring new/open positions, as well as ensuring the services provided through Radiology Services and O.P. Registration are high quality.
If the incumbent provides direct patient care, he/she is accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, and families. The incumbent demonstrates the ability to work with patient's physical, motor/sensory adaptation, cognitive, and psychosocial needs specific to the population being served, and meets standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age-specific competency standards.
The incumbent must be able to independently make key decisions for financial management, human resource management, medical staff relations, and quality of service strategies.
This position will require training and general knowledge attained to operate the hospital and department computer systems.
The incumbent is required to meet the needs of the staff and is to meet on a monthly basis with the staff to discuss situations and problem solving, as well as new creative marketing and inventive ideas.

Education:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively. Requires completion of an AMA approved 2-year radiology program or equivalent Ultrasonography program. Bachelor's degree in Business or Radiology is preferred.
Experience:
Two years supervisory/management experience in an acute health care setting
License(s):
Requires licensure in one of the following: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography(ARDMS) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) at time of hire.
Candidates registered with ARRT with (R) or (CT) are also required to obtain State of Nevada license for Medical Radiography at time of hire.
Certification(s):
Current BLS certification by American Heart Association (AHA) standards required at time of hire.
Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
