Position Title: Manager of Financial Planning

Business Unit: WM - FNTC

Reports to: Managing Director of Sales and Distribution

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the Financial Planning Group maintaining consistency and compliance with WM's strategy and philosophy. The incumbent creates strategy and ensures consistent delivery of the Financial Planning offering and is responsible for broadening and deepening the integration of financial planning within the organization. The incumbent plays an active role in the development of new business and retention of existing business and provides support to other business lines in pursuit of overall organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Establishes vision, strategy and direction, manages the execution of that vision, coaches and motivates while driving high performance and mentors for personal growth and career development. Promotes and ensures consistency and compliance with Wealth Management's philosophy which includes assisting with onboarding, training and development of the entire Financial Planning team.

Ensures quality and consistency of the Financial Planning offering and solutions. Provides support and resources for planners to reach their own and the organization's revenue and client experience goals. Remains current on issues, innovation and practice of financial planning.

Advocates Financial Planning's role and value with internal business partners and centers of influences.

Serves as a resource for the Wealth Management team and assists in the developing strategy, mission and vision. Provides perspective of the discipline and supports executive leaderships goals.

Provides oversight and input to the Financial Planners within each market regarding community relations, budgetary requirements, regional action plans and client service.

Assists as needed in preparing and presenting written materials for group presentations, researches and prepares support materials for client presentations and coordinates the preparation and creations of special client publications as needed for clients, internal business partners, prospective clients and other groups.

Manages a client book of relationships and assists Wealth Advisors and internal business partners in the role of Wealth Strategist within the assigned region.

Helps to develop, monitor and track the annual performance compensation program of all assigned employees.

Ensures the team is highly focused on all compliance related matters.

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
