How you'll make an impact in this role- Leads the design and deployment of automated, self-service dashboards (using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik) customized for different audiences (e.g., high-level summaries for the C-Suite, granular chart-level data for CDI specialists).
- Hires, trains, and mentors a team of business system analysts, guiding them in both technical skills (SQL, data visualization) and clinical/coding knowledge.
- Partners with Physician Advisor's and CDI Directors to present data findings to clinical staff. They operate by tailoring the data presentation to show physicians exactly how documentation gaps impact their specific quality profiles.
- Oversees the extraction and integration of data from various EHR systems (like Epic or Cerner), coding software, and billing databases to create a unified data warehouse for CDI analytics
- Tracks and analyzes core CDI Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as Case Mix Index (CMI), Complication/Comorbidity (CC) and Major CC (MCC) capture rates, and severity of illness/risk of mortality (SOI/ROM) scores.
What minimum requirements you'll needLicensure / Certification / Registration:
- Project Mgmt Professional preferred. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
What additional preferences we're seeking- High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, scripting languages (Python, Tableau, Power BI, Apps Script), SQL, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and clinical/coding knowledge.
- Strong understanding of HL7, FHIR, or EHR data integration principles
- Project Management and CCDS certification
