The Manager of Business Process & Governance is responsible for driving consistency, accountability, and operational excellence across the organization. This role works closely with leadership, operations, FP&A, accounting, IT, and other business functions to establish and maintain standardized processes, ensure compliance with established procedures, help evaluate new technology solutions, and improve cross-functional collaboration.

Serving as an impartial facilitator this individual brings together subject matter experts and stakeholders to solve business challenges, align priorities, and drive integrated execution. The role focuses on creating structure, transparency, and accountability while helping teams operate more efficiently and consistently across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain SOPs and business workflows across the organization.
  • Own and manage the business process governance framework, including documentation, process controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a neutral coordinator and facilitator, bringing together stakeholders and subject matter experts to drive alignment and resolve cross-functional challenges.
  • Monitor adherence to established policies, procedures, and operational standards; identify gaps, escalate risks, and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify inefficiencies and develop process improvement initiatives with defined ownership and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions, workshops, and project teams to drive clarity, accountability, and execution.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental initiatives and dependencies to ensure alignment with organizational priorities and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into process performance, compliance, risks, and key business metrics.
  • Establish and track shared KPIs that promote accountability and collaboration across departments.
  • Evaluate business processes, workflows, and operational impacts related to new initiatives, systems, and organizational changes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline, and enterprise-wide collaboration.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business process management, operations, project management, governance, consulting, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple business functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong process documentation, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience developing SOPs, workflows, governance models, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
  • Experience with operational reporting, dashboards, and KPI development preferred.
