Job Summary

This position will be assigned to the Educational Services division: The Manager of the Northern Central Coast K-16 Collaborative provides direct support to the Northern Region, which includes Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito Counties, to develop, align and improve pathways programs that combine academics, career technical education, work-based learning, and comprehensive student support. The Manager of the Northern Central Coast K-16 Collaborative supports the K-16 initiative grant objectives that prepare middle and high school students to succeed in both secondary and post-secondary education while learning employable skills. May exercise technical and functional supervision over lower-level staff.

The grant is funded through 10/31/27, and is currently in the process of extending. This grant is expected to renew until 2028 and possibly beyond.

This position is in-person only and does not allow for remote work.

Compensation and Benefits:
Eligible candidates may receive 3.0% Master's Degree stipend; 2.0% Doctorate stipend. Allowances for car and telephone may be provided. This is a 221-day work year position. Benefits include full family medical, dental and vision coverage, 12 days of annual paid sick leave, life insurance, long-term disability and allowance for Professional Dues. Retirement benefits are accrued through the Public Employee Retirement System (CalPERS). Employees are required to pay their portion of the retirement plan.

Below are the requirements and qualifications we are seeking in a successful candidate. Please ensure that your application is complete and includes an up-to-date resume and three recent letters of recommendation.

Education and Experience:
Experience working collaboratively across K-12 school districts, two-year colleges/community colleges, and four-year universities is highly desirable.
An Associate's degree or two (2) years of coursework from an accredited college or university with major coursework in STEM, Computer Science and Engineering, Healthcare, Education, or a related field applicable to the position is required.
Five (5) years of experience in management and administration in education, with a focus on one of the following STEM, Healthcare, Computer Science and Engineering, or a related field.
A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience developing and maintaining partnerships across educational systems, particularly partnerships focused on college and career pathways, is highly desirable.
A combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position may be considered.

Knowledge of:
K-12, community college, and four-year university systems, policies, and pathways.
California high school graduation and A-G requirements and college entrance requirements.
Career Technical Education (CTE), college and career readiness, dual enrollment, and work-based learning.
STEM, Computer Science and Engineering, Healthcare, and other high-demand career pathways.
Principles and practices of program management, including planning, implementation, evaluation, data analysis, and reporting.
Collective impact, cross-sector collaboration, and equity-centered practices.
