Job Description SummaryManages enterprise network engineering operations and a team of network engineers/technicians responsible for reliable delivery of enterprise network services, including data center, campus/office, wireless, cloud connectivity, perimeter/security platforms, and circuits. Accountable for operational performance, service reliability, vendor coordination, workforce planning, and budget management for assigned network services, ensuring effective execution of incident, change, problem, and continuous improvement processes.
Job Description Responsibilities: - Manage and develop a team of network engineers/technicians, including hiring support, onboarding, coaching, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and workload prioritization.
- Provide technical direction and decision-making for complex troubleshooting, implementation, and operational support across data center, WAN/Internet, cloud connectivity, wireless, load balancing, firewalls, and circuits.
- Own operational performance for network services, ensuring service levels, resiliency, risk controls, and processes are followed for incident, change, and problem management, including after-hours/on-call coverage as applicable.
- Oversee planning and execution of network changes and project work, including prioritization, risk assessment, change documentation, stakeholder communications, implementation oversight, and post-change validation.
- Lead problem management and continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues, sponsoring root-cause analysis, and driving corrective actions to improve availability, reduce MTTR, and strengthen operational maturity.
- Maintain accurate network documentation (diagrams, runbooks, standard configurations) and ensure operational readiness for new services and deployments.
- Coordinate with peer IT teams (security, server/platform, service desk, application teams) and external providers to deliver solutions and resolve cross-domain incidents.
- Manage vendor relationships for network services, incidents, renewals, and service requests; track deliverables, escalate service concerns, and ensure provider performance supports business needs.
- Own budget planning and management for assigned network services, including forecasting hardware, software, circuits, support contracts, renewals, and other operating expenses; monitor spend, identify risks or savings opportunities, and support purchase processes per policy.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise network engineering/operations (LAN/WAN, routing/switching, wireless, firewalls, load balancers, and circuit/provider management).
- 3+ years of people leadership experience, including performance management, coaching, workforce planning, and coordinating operational coverage.
- Demonstrated experience with change control and operational processes (incident, problem, and change management), including clear communications and documentation.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, renewals, vendor contracts, or operating expenses for technology services.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-vendor environments and the ability to lead technical resolution during high-severity incidents.
Preferred - Strong customer focus; clear communicator who can translate technical issues into impact, status, and next steps for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with cloud/hybrid networking concepts (e.g., connectivity, segmentation, remote access) and network monitoring/observability tools.
- Experience driving operational improvements (automation/scripting, standardization, runbooks) to reduce toil and improve reliability.
- Experience identifying cost optimization opportunities while maintaining network reliability, resiliency, and service quality.
- Experience managing diverse and global teams.

Compensation:The Salary for this position generally ranges between $128,000-$155,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in our Denver or Cedar Rapids hub location. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
