Responsibilities
The Principal Product Manager (PM) for Wireless Services will lead the discovery, strategy, delivery, and growth of Intrado's wireless communications portfolio. This portfolio includes solutions that enable reliable 911 call routing, location delivery, regulatory compliance, and NG911 interoperability for wireless carriers, private wireless providers, VoWiFi deployments, and emerging communications technologies.
This role owns the product roadmap and lifecycle for mission-critical wireless services, partnering across Engineering, Network Operations, Product Operations, Customer Success, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Security, and Legal to deliver highly reliable, scalable, and standards-compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Market (Discover)
- Continuously gather customer, carrier, industry, regulatory, and market feedback to identify opportunities within wireless emergency communications.
- Monitor wireless industry trends, FCC mandates, NG911 initiatives, VoWiFi adoption, private wireless deployments, supplemental coverage from space, and emerging carrier technologies.
- Partner with customers, carriers, OEMs, and public safety stakeholders to understand operational challenges and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain a prioritized opportunity backlog based on customer needs, market demand, operational data, and competitive intelligence.
- Analyze market size, customer adoption trends, and business opportunities to support investment decisions.
Strategy (Plan)
- Define target customer segments, personas, and end-to-end workflows across wireless carriers, private wireless operators, service providers, and public safety organizations.
- Develop and maintain product vision, positioning, and value propositions focused on compliance, reliability, interoperability, and operational efficiency.
- Establish product KPIs, adoption metrics, operational performance targets, and commercial objectives.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to develop pricing strategies, packaging models, and go-to-market plans.
- Create business cases and investment recommendations for new capabilities and market expansion opportunities.
Product (Build & Manage)
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of wireless services products including call routing, location services, VoWiFi, private wireless, emergency communications, and NG911 interoperability capabilities.
- Define product requirements, acceptance criteria, and release plans aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Network Operations, Architecture, and QA teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure product delivery.
- Prioritize enhancements and new capabilities based on customer feedback, market demand, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
- Manage product roadmaps, business cases, release readiness activities, and lifecycle planning.
- Drive data-informed decision making through performance dashboards, service metrics, customer feedback, and market analysis.
Programs (Launch & Grow)
- Lead cross-functional launch planning and execution for new product releases and market expansions.
- Develop customer-facing messaging, enablement materials, sales tools, demos, and competitive positioning.
- Partner with Customer Success and Operations to support customer onboarding, adoption, retention, and expansion initiatives.
- Monitor product performance, customer usage, operational metrics, and service quality after launch.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on customer feedback, support trends, and operational performance.
Business Enablement (Security, Compliance & Operations)
- Ensure solutions meet FCC, NENA, NG911, and public safety regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Security, Legal, Compliance, and Operations teams to maintain privacy, security, and audit requirements.
- Support contractual, commercial, and operational readiness activities for customer deployments.
- Drive governance processes, risk assessments, and launch readiness reviews for new product capabilities.
- Maintain product documentation, regulatory traceability, and compliance artifacts required for mission-critical environments.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of product management experience delivering complex customer-facing SaaS, telecommunications, networking, or mission-critical communications products.
- Deep understanding of wireless communications technologies, including cellular networks, VoWiFi, private wireless, 4G/5G, call routing, and location services.
- Experience working with public safety, telecommunications, carrier, or regulatory environments preferred.
- Knowledge of NG911 architecture, emergency communications workflows, wireless call delivery, and interoperability standards strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional product initiatives from strategy through launch and commercialization.
- Strong analytical and business acumen, including product performance measurement, KPI development, and business case creation.
- Experience working with security, privacy, compliance, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience developing product roadmaps, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wireless carrier ecosystems, emergency services networks, or public safety communications.
- Familiarity with FCC regulations, NENA standards, SIP-based communications, and NG911 requirements.
- Experience supporting products related to location services, emergency call routing, VoWiFi, private wireless, satellite communications, or telematics.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.

The starting salary is anticipated between $165,000 and $190,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
