Job Description

Manager, National Field Sales Training

Field-based; home-office located within a reasonable distance of a major airport

Caldera Medical is seeking a Manager, National Field Sales Training to lead the development and onboarding of the company's national Sales Associate (SA) team. This individual will own the field training curriculum for Sales Associates from initial onboarding through skill mastery, spending the majority of the month in the field alongside new and tenured SAs to accelerate their product knowledge, clinical acumen, and selling skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver in-field, one-on-one training to Sales Associates nationally, spending approximately 3-4 days per week in territory working directly alongside SAs during customer interactions, procedures, and account calls.
• Own the SA onboarding curriculum, ensuring every new Sales Associate receives a structured, consistent introduction to Caldera's product portfolio, clinical positioning, and sales methodology.
• Design and lead structured virtual training sessions for the SA team (approximately 2-4 hours per month), using a mix of longer working sessions and shorter skill-builders, including peer "teach-back" sessions where SAs present learnings to the broader group.
• Facilitate or contribute to weekly SA team calls as part of the broader virtual training cadence, ensuring consistent touchpoints with each SA on a recurring basis.
• Identify skill and knowledge gaps across the SA team through field observation and collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and Strategic Account Managers to close them.
• Continuously evolve training content and delivery methods (in-field, virtual, self-directed) to reflect new products, competitive dynamics, and selling techniques.
• Provide a month-end report summarizing time spent in the field and virtually during the completed month, along with a training plan for the upcoming four weeks; due no later than the second Friday of each month.
• Partner with the Director of Physician Education & Commercial Development and Training team to align SA development with broader field sales training strategy and national commercial priorities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Caldera's product portfolio, relevant anatomy and procedures, and the competitive landscape in the urogynecology device space.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of medical device sales, clinical sales support, or field sales training experience required; experience in urology, gynecology, or a related surgical specialty strongly preferred.
• Prior experience as a designated field sales trainer, preceptor, or in a formal sales enablement role is a plus.
• Demonstrated success onboarding or developing early-career sales talent.
• Strong working knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design; able to translate clinical and product content into practical, field-ready training.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills, both in person and virtual.
• Ability to build credibility quickly with Sales Associates, Regional Sales Managers, and physician customers in a clinical, in-procedure environment.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; able to manage a national travel schedule while maintaining consistent reporting and follow-through.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Comfortable operating independently in the field with minimal day-to-day supervision.

This is a field-based role requiring routine overnight travel, which may be up to approximately 60% depending on business need, including travel to territories across all four U.S. regions (Northeast, Southeast, Central, and West) to support Sales Associate onboarding and development.

Competitive Compensation, Comprehensive Benefits, and more!
  • Medical and Dental Benefits - for employee and family members
  • Vision Coverage
  • 401(k) with 4% matching contributions after 90 days of employment
  • Basic Life and AD&D
  • Unlimited Vacation Policy
  • 6 Weeks Paid Maternity Leave
  • 10 paid holidays
  • Being surrounded by amazing people!
