• Develops clear, supportable recommendations for senior decision-making on remediation actions, escalations to Corporate Security or Employee Relations, cutoff recommendations, and client retention or demarketing determinations.
• Identifies, analyzes, and communicates risk themes arising from file reviews, quality assurance findings, and emerging fraud trends to support stronger investigative standards, control enhancements, and risk mitigation across mortgage origination channels.
• Collaborates with RESL, Corporate Security, AML, and other internal and external partners to synthesize investigative findings, identify themes, and inform field communications, training, policy enhancements, and appropriate follow-up actions, including escalations, underwriter coaching, and compensation clawback recommendations.
• Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions relating to the mortgage businesses.

• Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
• Supports specialized mortgage investigations by providing day-to-day oversight, of complex investigative matters that influence the integrity and risk posture of the Real Estate Secured Lending business.
• Oversees deep-dive investigative work driven by analytics, risk indicators, file review findings, and emerging fraud trends, promoting disciplined assessment, consistent methodology, and high-quality outcomes that support sound business decisions and reinforce RESL's control environment.
• Acts as an escalation and advisory point for front-line, business, and customer-related matters where potential misconduct, fraud, AML concerns, or reputational risk is identified, applying measured judgment and escalating sensitive or high-impact issues to senior leadership as required.
• Supports internal and external stakeholder engagements by contributing clear, defensible information on investigative findings, risk observations, file review outcomes, and remediation considerations involving RESL mortgage activity.
