  • Prepare financial forecasts for IGM Financial's Mortgage Operations to aid in capital and liquidity management.
  • Maintain accurate records in the valuation system for reliable reporting.
  • Forecast sales activity and reinvestment portfolio to identify financial risks and opportunities.
  • Support the development of financial risk management processes and reporting.
  • Provide finance support and analysis for corporate and business development opportunities.

The Role: Mortgage Finance team is included within the Treasury Department and responsible for corporate cash management and banking, and mortgage financing across IGM Financial.

As a Manager in the Mortgage Finance team, you will be part of a team that is responsible for the execution and analysis of various financial and risk management transactions for the companies Mortgage Banking Operations. This team is responsible for managing ongoing investments as they relate to the liquidity and risk management of mortgage capital market activity. In addition, we provide support and training for other related departments and roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of ongoing investments within securitization programs, including planning and executing recurring investment and reinvestment activities.
  • Plan, execute, and prepare valuation of sale/financing transactions into established structures that include securitizations through ABCP and MBS related channels as well as direct sales which support the mortgage business funding plan.
  • Analysis and execution of interest rate derivative transactions with counterparties completed frequently to ensure risk management controls within accepted levels.
  • Prepare financial forecast relating to IGM Financial's Mortgage Operations to support Capital and Liquidity Management processes.
  • Maintain up to date records in the valuation system to ensure accurate reported results.
  • Forecast projections of sales activity and reinvestment portfolio to highlight financial risks and opportunities.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Financial Risk Management processes and reporting.
  • Providing finance support as necessary on corporate and business development opportunities, including ad-hoc analysis, valuations and due diligence.


Qualifications:
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience
  • Undergraduate plus related finance designation (such as CFA, FRM, CPA, CBV, etc) or graduate degree in a business discipline are preferred
  • Advanced Excel and other Microsoft Office applications; proficient in Bloomberg also an asset
  • AI skills/experience in copilot, Power BW, Power automate also considered asset
  • Strong valuation, analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Experience with SAP an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple demands under time constrains/ conditions.


The expected annual base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $105,000, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
