The Opportunity
The Interactive Advertising Bureau is seeking a highly motivated sales and business development professional to help grow IAB's agency and brand membership community.
This is a revenue-generating role focused on prospecting, pipeline development, member growth, retention, and account expansion. Success requires relationship building, sales discipline, operational rigor, and comfort opening doors that are not already open.
What You'll Do
You will partner with senior leadership to support growth across IAB's agency and brand membership portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
• Identify, prospect, and develop new membership opportunities
• Build relationships with senior marketing, media, and advertising executives
• Drive membership renewals, retention, and account expansion
• Promote IAB events, sponsorships, training programs, certifications, and industry initiatives
• Create account plans and engagement strategies for priority prospects and members
• Own Salesforce hygiene, pipeline tracking, forecasting, and follow-up documentation
• Monitor industry trends, organizational changes, and leadership movement to inform outreach
• Support executive engagement efforts, meetings, and follow-up
• Gather member feedback and surface market intelligence to internal teams
• Collaborate with members to increase participation in IAB councils, committees, events, and educational offerings
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, partnerships, membership sales, advertising, media, marketing, or a related field
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, build relationships, and create business opportunities
• Strong communication, presentation, and follow-through skills
• Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce strongly preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, revenue-focused environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in digital advertising, media, adtech, martech, agencies, publishers, platforms, measurement, retail media, or related sectors
• Experience selling memberships, sponsorships, events, professional services, or consultative solutions
• Comfort working with senior-level stakeholders and executives
• Familiarity with media planning, measurement, creator economy, commerce media, retail media, or emerging advertising technologies
