Full Job Description
Description of the Position

We are seeking a Manager, Lottery & Gaming to play a key role in advancing one of Ontario's leading charitable lottery portfolios.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Lottery & Gaming, this role will focus on supporting the strategic development, expansion, and delivery of Lottery & Gaming programs, including the SickKids Lottery, Catch the Ace, and new initiatives designed to grow the portfolio in the years ahead. As the Lottery & Gaming portfolio continues to evolve, this role will help translate strategic direction into executable programs - supporting business case development, program design, and launch readiness across existing and emerging initiatives. The portfolio generates significant annual revenue in support of SickKids, and this position will play an important part in ensuring programs are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with strong financial performance.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Manager will oversee key components of lottery execution - including financial tracking, regulatory coordination, vendor management, and program implementation. In parallel, this role will identify and implement process improvements and support the evaluation and launch of new initiatives designed to strengthen and grow the portfolio.

This position is ideal for a commercially minded leader who can translate strategic opportunities into executable programs and deliver results in a complex, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

YOU WILL:

  • Contribute to the development and launch of new Lottery & Gaming initiatives, translating strategic direction into executable program plans
  • Lead implementation of Lottery & Gaming programs and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide program-level financial insight through budget tracking, forecasting support, and performance analysis that informs portfolio decisions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities that strengthen program performance, streamline processes, and unlock growth across the portfolio.
  • Oversee regulatory coordination in partnership with Finance and lottery consultants, supporting AGCO applications, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as lottery consultants, vendors, corporate partners, and agency partners - owning day-to-day coordination, holding partners accountable to timelines and deliverables, and proactively identifying and escalating issues before they affect program delivery.
  • Support the design of prize structures and program mechanics to enable effective campaign implementation.
  • Contribute to the development and launch of new lottery & gaming initiatives, including business case development, marketing briefs, operational planning, and translating strategic direction into executable program plans.
  • Partner closely with internal teams such as Marketing, Creative, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure initiatives are aligned and delivered effectively.
  • Embrace and promote the core values of SickKids Foundation: integrity, collaboration, excellence, innovation, and inclusion.

QUALIFICATIONS:

While no candidate will possess every qualification in equal measure, the following experience and competencies are considered important for success in this role:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in marketing, fundraising, or revenue-generating program management;
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and strict timelines;
  • Proven ability to identify cross-program synergies and operational efficiencies, escalate insights with clear recommendations, and lead implementation of process improvements that drive measurable impact;
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including experience tracking budgets and interpreting performance data;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational workflows and improve processes in a structured, detail-oriented manner;
  • Experience working with external vendors, consultants, or agency partners;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams;
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to translate insight into practical action;
