Job DescriptionTo provide strategic planning for technology and automation needs, taking a lead role in developing strategies that align with departmental goals, and building a strong effective team. Ensures project managers are directing, coordinating and controlling the lifecycles (scope, schedule, budget and deliverables) of multiple strategic projects within the Program to deliver the planned value to the strategic objectives.
Experience- Minimum of 7 years similar experience in a healthcare or business environment with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role in an IT support organization
- Broad experience with generally known project management software, commercially available healthcare and business software packages is required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required
Preferred Qualifications- Excellent project management skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to organize other teams and adapt styles to meet the needs of each team
- Demonstrates organizational, analytical and time management skills and display the following preferred aptitudes: communication, problem solving and conflict resolution
- Ability to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities
- Able to develop and maintain good working relationships and to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines, including administrative and executive staff
- Experience in a matrix environment
- Expert in MS Project and MS Office Suite
Education- Graduation from an accredited college with a degree in Computer Science, Business, or the knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
Certification Summary- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required

Job Responsibilities- Drives IT projects and ensure outcomes are met to include leadership engagement, planning, and hiring, implementation strategy, and ongoing operational planning.
- Takes and active role in defining, documenting, and ensuring that implementation protocols, policies, procedures, and quality metrics are adhere too.
- Provides day to day management of assigned staff including hiring, terminating, defining goals, coaching, and evaluating performance, and to ensure staff is meeting and/or exceeding deliverables.
- Execute against a roadmap/tactical plan for the Program and implement the key components of a common project management framework and competency.
- Implement a Program communication strategy to drive awareness of the Program and the organizational value; provide a compelling reason to increase understanding and agreement; highlight successes to generate buy-in.
- Oversees close coordination between Project Managers through regular updates to ensure Risk/Issues/Decisions/Action Item log documentation accurately supports Program status.
- Ensures documentation discipline for all planning activity and status reporting.
- Takes an active role in ensuring projects adhere to IS&T PMO methodology management protocols, procedures, and guidelines.
- Provides oversight that includes but not limited to project management, strategic planning, system selection and operational planning. Acts as point of escalation for project managers and team members in providing these services.
- Responsible for escalating issues and resource needs to IS&T leadership.
- Handles multi-project interactions, interfaces, assessments, and related decisions while considering project priorities based on resources and funds.
- Manages vendor resources, project accounting, subcontractors, and contract administration as assigned.
- Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees.
- Mentor team members to encourage personal and professional growth.
- Encourage ongoing skill development by providing opportunities for continued education.
