Full Job Description
Position Purpose:
Increase corporate gift card sales through the development of relationships with potential customers and strengthening relationships with existing customers. Build and develop customer loyalty while executing all facets of the Gift Card business. Develop strategies and objectives to drive sales and profitability within the B2B gift card sales channel. Analyze trends, solve problems, provide excellent customer service to maximize sales strategies. Support sales and growth of gift card business by effectively performing all duties and responsibilities of this role. Follow established procedures and processes for developing and maintaining customer base. Following established procedures, associate will negotiate new contracts and maintain contract renewals. Position works very closely with Marketing and Business Development

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement outside sales plan to expand business; service existing customer base to build relationships and increase account value; establish new accounts to meet required outside sales monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Recommend products to customers based on customer's specific needs and interests. Answer questions about products, prices, programs, credit terms, contracts. Ensure that sales activities are conducted within established guidelines and budget.
  • Share market and competitor intelligence with all applicable channels within the company.
  • Review sales records and current market information to determine value or sales potential of product. Complete sales contracts, agreements and all other documents required to record sales information. Write and submit reports on sales; prepare estimates and bids to meet specific needs of customer. Utilize pricing within established guidelines to negotiate price with management approval.
  • Investigate and resolve customer satisfaction issues. Manage inside sales to ensure all established guidelines and procedures are followed to drive sales and increase profitability within sales channel.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • Typically reports to the Director of Gift Cards.
  • Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. In addition to personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Conditions could produce mild discomfort on occasion.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

  • Outside sales experience dealing with large organizations
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must have previous outside sales experience, preferably in the declining card or loyalty card industry.

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
