JOB DESCRIPTION:The OpportunityOur location in
Pleasanton, CA currently is hiring for a Manager Financial Planning and Analysis. The primary objective of this position is financial accounting, reporting, planning and analysis activities. Responsibilities include monthly accounting and reporting, Plans, LBE's, LRP's, various analysis and special projects as well as the support of internal as well as external audit and tax reporting requirements.
What You'll Work On- Financial accounting, reporting and analysis, including month-end activities completed timely and in compliance with Abbott's financial policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Financial planning and analysis, including development and support of Plans, LBE's and LRP's as well as consolidation activities.
- Ensures proper tracking of commitments and expenditures along with proper accounting treatment and timely capitalization of assets.
- Provides financial leadership and guidance to operations including DCF / ROI's, proper writing of RCE's and Post Completion audits as well as interpretation of the Corporate Financial Manual (CFM's) and topics as well as issues around the treatment of projects and fixed assets.
- Partners with the IT on support of financially related systems including SAP.
- Establishes and/or enforces internal controls safeguarding Abbott's financial interest and providing guidance and counsel to operating and financial staff.
- Significant interaction with Corporate Audit and the SOX PMO.
- Manage and develops staff, including hiring, developing and training.
- Significant involvement in strategic and cross-divisional projects and teams.
Required Qualifications- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Strong verbal/communication skills along with the ability to collaborate, negotiate and build consensus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while handling multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications - Masters Degree MBA or other advanced degree
- CPA or other certifications
- Prior supervisory experience

The base pay for this position is $114,000.00 - $228,000.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
