Purpose

The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis supports the delivery of financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis activities for Global Wealth Management (GWM) Finance.This role is responsible for executing core FP&A processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial information, and providing actionable insights to support business decision-making. The Manager works closely with the Senior Manager and finance partners to support profit plan, forecast, and monthly reporting cycles, while maintaining strong financial controls and processes. This role is expected to act as a subject matter expert on executive reporting, including cross-training business line finance teams to enhance the overall capabilities for Global Wealth Management Finance.

Support FP&A Reporting Activities for GWM Finance
  • Support the consolidation of Forecast and Annual Plan across GWM business units by preparing and producing recurring reporting deliverables including:
    • Monthly and quarterly management reporting
    • Forecast and Plan submissions
    • Standard reporting decks and analysis (e.g., Monthly Forecast, Annual Plan Binder)
  • Regular and ad hoc analysis of P&L line items and categories, deep dive analysis and preparation of various reports to GWM business partners / teams


Financial Analysis & Forecasting Execution
  • Perform detailed analysis of monthly financial results, including variance analysis vs. Plan and Forecast
  • Support preparation of forward-looking forecasts, incorporating business inputs and trends
  • Analyze expense drivers (including project-related costs) and identify key movements
  • Prepare clear and concise commentary on financial performance and variances
  • Assist in reviewing assumptions for reasonableness and alignment with business expectations


Process & Control Management
  • Maintain ongoing compliance activities within GWM Finance, including monthly pre-close attestations, intercompany reconciliations and monthly GL attestations and annual End User Computing and SOX documentation submission
  • Support ongoing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain strong documentation and audit readiness across all FP&A activities
  • Execute established financial processes in accordance with internal policies and controls
  • Assist with audit requests and follow-ups with internal and external stakeholder


Reporting & Tools
  • Prepare reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI and other financial systems
  • Extract, manipulate, and reconcile financial data from systems (e.g., Hyperion / Anaplan, OBI)
  • Ensure data integrity and alignment to control totals across systems


Business Partner Support
  • Act as a point of contact for finance partners on day-to-day FP&A activities
  • Support monthly and quarterly review processes by preparing materials and analysis for discussions
  • Respond to ad hoc requests and provide analytical support to business partners
  • Assist in identifying trends, risks, and opportunities based on financial data


Team & Collaboration
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with finance teams and business partners across GWM
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and support reporting requirements
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment
  • Support knowledge sharing and cross-training across the team where applicable

  • Accounting designation (CPA) or progress toward designation preferred
  • Minimum of five years directly related experience in a financial area
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., Hyperion, OBI, or similar tools)
  • High proficiency in Excel and experience with other related reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred
  • Strong knowledge of management/accounting methods and practices including product profitability and other FP&A modelling (expenses, balance sheet, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Global Wealth Management's products/services and business lines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly
