Job DescriptionInitial Responsibilities:Initial responsibilities include managing, reviewing, and participating in the fund operations and reporting process such as:
- Review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP - Investment Company Accounting and IFRS
- Assist with the external audit and tax reporting processes with big 4 firms
- Oversee the fund's operations and credit facility maintenance
- Oversee and manage third-party fund administrator
- Ownership of the fund's reporting and compliance processes, including but not limited to GAAP quarterly financial, annual audited financials, tax, and LP/GP reporting
- Assist and coordinate with other departments to fulfill fund operations, reporting requirements and responding to inquiries from investors
- Review management fee and waterfall calculations
- Monitor liquidity and manage capital calls, facilitate distributions, and review wires
- Strong understanding of fund agreements, tax structures and compliance requirements
- Perform tasks related to forecasting process, treasury activities, financial risk assessments and exposures
- Oversee investor reporting
- Train, mentor, motivate and direct members of the team
- Other fund's operations
Requirements:This position offers excellent opportunities in a dynamic environment. To qualify, candidates must have:
- 5-6 years of experience with a mix of public/private accounting
- Fund accounting experience required; PE Real Estate experience strongly preferred
- Hands-on and high standards for accuracy and quality; Thorough and meticulous with extreme focus on details
- Can work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to multitask with good time management skills to meet multiple reporting deadlines
- Strategic thinker that can think outside the box, focused on efficiency and improving existing processes
- Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and financial reporting technical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team oriented with good coaching skills
- Experience with Investran a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Certified Public Accountant certification strongly preferred
Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
