Full Job Description

This position is responsible for managing one or more of the following: maintenance, construction, and welding and fabrication associated with the entire site facility; both internally and externally. The Facilities Manager will oversee all personnel associated with facility maintenance, construction, and the procurement of outside contractors to perform related work at the site.


Essential Duties:
• Serves as technical expert on all projects; manages all contractors and contracts related to facilities and construction; schedules contractors work
• Establish, administer, and manage the service and maintenance program of all site facility infrastructure and equipment including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
• Review the operation of building equipment and systems continuously to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate problems, and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Oversees all personnel management issues interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
• Maintain compliance with all safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures
• Operates machinery and equipment as necessary
• Conducts daily inspections of the site facility, oversee and organize activities, update changes, ensure documentation and record keeping
• Work within the assigned budget for the year and manage spending for all facility items and projects
• Other duties as assigned.


Education/ Experience/Skills:
• 5+ years construction or architecture management and College Degree or 5+ years experience as a supervisor
• Ability to operate a tractor, forklift and man lifts is required
• Expert working knowledge of the site facilities
• Solid working knowledge of engineering principles, concepts, and technology
• Knowledge of HVAC related systems
• Expert working knowledge, skills, and abilities in the budgeting process
• Proven leadership and personnel management skills and abilities
• Solid verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80lbs., and carry objects weighing up to 47lbs up to 100 feet.
• Ability to push/pull weights up to 75 lbs. and maintain the grip strength required to carry objects including buckets and boxes.
• Must show fine motor dexterity.
• Demonstrate their ability to climb stairs, stoop, crawl, twist, squat and reach overhead.
• The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking.
Percent of Travel: 0%-25%

Starting Salary Rate: $90,000 - $105,000
