Manager, Facilities Engineering

Join a manufacturing site in Denison, Texas as a Manager, Facilities Engineering and lead the maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of plant facilities and infrastructure. This role is responsible for supervising facility maintenance activities, partnering with engineers, suppliers, and business stakeholders, and ensuring utilities, equipment, and site operations support safe, efficient manufacturing performance. You will build and develop a high-performing maintenance team, oversee inspections and repairs, and help the site solve operational risks with practical, data-informed solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead maintenance activities for plant facilities and infrastructure in a hardware manufacturing environment, helping ensure the site remains safe, organized, and operationally effective.
  • Partner with engineers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to achieve business goals while balancing sustainable facility use and budget demands.
  • Build, coach, and organize an effective facility maintenance team, including training and day-to-day guidance that supports quality performance.
  • Evaluate utilities, equipment, and plant support systems to identify risks, improve reliability, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Oversee inspections, repairs, updates, and ongoing operational activities for buildings, infrastructure, and related site services.
  • Support facility-related projects by coordinating timelines, priorities, and resources in a structured, highly organized manner.
  • Deliver responsive internal customer support and service excellence across plant operations and business partners.
  • Lead and support capital facility projects, including planning, budgeting, and execution of site infrastructure upgrades or expansions. Ensure projects meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule expectations while minimizing operational disruption.


Required Skills
  • Facilities Engineering & Maintenance Leadership: Experience supervising facilities maintenance or infrastructure activities in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Planning & Organizing: Ability to prioritize work, create structured plans, manage competing priorities, and ensure timely execution of maintenance and facility activities.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Foundational ability to analyze operational challenges, identify risks, and apply structured approaches to resolve facility and equipment issues.
  • Effective Communication & Collaboration: Ability to partner with engineers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with all levels of the organization.
  • Service Excellence & Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to deliver reliable facility support with a strong focus on accuracy, urgency, and internal customer satisfaction.
  • Project Management Fundamentals: Basic knowledge of planning, organizing, and monitoring facility-related projects to ensure efficient use of resources and successful outcomes.


Preferred Skills
  • Degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • Experience supporting utilities, equipment effectiveness, inspections, repairs, and facility updates in a manufacturing plant.
  • Experience partnering with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams on maintenance, reliability, or infrastructure improvements.
  • Experience leading facility maintenance teams, training employees, and improving day-to-day execution.
  • Experience coordinating small-to-medium facility projects, maintenance outages, or capital-related site improvements.


Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
