The Opportunity: Lead Our Digital Evolution
Reporting directly to the Director of IS/IT, you will lead a dedicated team of application specialists supporting critical platforms including Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Service Cloud CRM, Salesforce CRM, and Oracle Agile PLM as well as our Enterprise AI solution.

Your core mandate is strategic: you will lead the planning and execution of our multi-year enterprise application modernization strategy that includes evaluating, selecting, and migrating us to replacement platforms that can support Ballard's expansion while managing costs.

What You Will Do
1. Inspire & Lead
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of application developers and analysts.
Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture aligned with Ballard's values

2. Drive Enterprise Transformation
Spearhead our multi-year enterprise application assessment, modernization, and migration initiatives.
Support the IT Director in defining Ballard's future-state application strategy and long-term SaaS technology roadmaps.
Lead high-stakes, large-scale system migrations, ensuring change management and strong business adoption.
Work collaboratively across the organization to improve access to and generate insights from our enterprise data

3. Collaborate & Optimize
Partner with Finance, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to translate complex business needs into scalable technology solutions.
Act as a champion for process improvement, using technology to eliminate operational friction.

4. Ensure Governance & Stewardship
Own the lifecycle, reliability, and security of our core enterprise applications.
Maintain robust controls supporting SOX compliance, GDPR, and information security standards.

Who You Are
You are a technical expert who understands enterprise software, a strategic thinker who can design multi-year roadmaps, and an empathetic leader who genuinely cares about growing people.

Your Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
8+ years of direct experience supporting enterprise-grade business systems, with 5+ years demonstrated experience directly leading technical development and support teams.
Proven track record managing and modernizing heavy-duty ERP, CRM, and PLM platforms (experience with a variety of software, including Oracle products, would be considered an asset).
Success leading large-scale system migrations, vendor evaluations, and cross-functional change management.
Familiarity operating within SOX, GDPR, and ISO270001 compliance frameworks.
Certifications such as PMP, Agile, or Scrum are highly valued assets.

The typical hiring range for this position is $93,840 - $146,265. Ballard considers many factors in determining total compensation, including the successful candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, position location, and internal equity.
