Full Job Description
What We Are Looking For

This position is responsible for leading and directing the reservoir and production engineering and geoscience activities related to the company interest in the SACROC Field Diamond M, and North McElroy Units.

What You Will Do

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Lead, direct and supervise managers and staff within the Units.
  • Manage reservoir surveillance and project evaluation within the Units. Activities within the scope of this job: Production and injection forecasting, Reserves determination, economic and production optimization analysis.
  • Prepare and monitor surveillance department operating budgets
  • Evaluate well work procedures and conformance programs
  • Set goals and objectives for direct reports and ensure programs are in place to attain goals
  • Set priorities and assign engineering projects
  • Maintain close working relationship between surveillance personnel and the personnel/operations of the other departments within the Units.
  • Assure the development and training of direct reports.

Other responsibilities:
  • Special projects as required.

What You Need

Minimum requirements:

Education:
  • Bachelor degree in engineering/geosciences


Experience / specific knowledge:
  • 10 plus years in the oil and gas and/or pipeline industry.


Certifications, licenses, registrations:
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.


Competencies, skills, and abilities:
  • High competency in managing the engineering and operations of oil & gas operations.
  • High Competency in implementation and evaluation of CO2 enhanced oil recovery or other improved oil recovery techniques.
  • High competency in evaluating and making optimum economic decisions
  • Effective with performance management


Physical demands:
  • Predominantly office environment
  • Frequent travel to field sites.


Working conditions:
  • Primarily office
  • Working after hours, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call as needed


Supervisory responsibility:
  • Area Surveillance Managers
  • Geoscience Team Leader
  • Staff employees

Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:

Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
  • Masters degree in engineering/geosciences. Professional Engineering license.
