This is a critical finance leadership role responsible for the financial management of one of the airline's most complex and valuable assets: our multi-billion-dollar aircraft engine portfolio. You will be the financial cornerstone for the Technical Operations division, providing the analytical rigor required to forecast, budget, and control costs associated with engine maintenance, repairs, and long-term asset strategy. The ideal candidate will combine deep accounting and finance expertise with a solid understanding of aircraft engine operations to drive financial performance and support key strategic decisions.

What you'll do

  • Develop and manage the multi-year operating budgets and long-range financial forecasts for all outsourced aircraft engine maintenance programs.
  • Lead in-depth financial analysis for major outsourced engine maintenance events, including heavy shop visits, on-wing repairs, and life-limited part (LLP) replacements.
  • Create and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate the total cost of ownership for engine assets, including analyses of repair vs. replace scenarios and lease return conditions.
  • Provide financial oversight and analysis for our "Power-by-the-Hour" (PBTH) and other engine service agreements with major OEMs.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis of actual maintenance costs against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and presenting actionable insights to operational leaders.
  • Collaborate closely with leaders in Technical Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Fleet Planning to translate operational metrics (flight hours, cycles, performance degradation) into financial impacts.
  • Prepare and present compelling business cases for capital expenditure projects and cost-saving initiatives related to engine assets.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and serve as an internal consultant to the Technical Operations team on all financial matters.


All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a corporate finance or accounting role with a focus on complex assets, manufacturing, or operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in complex financial modeling, variance analysis, and multi-year forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • MBA with a concentration in Finance or a CPA designation.
  • Experience in the aviation or aerospace industry, specifically with MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) finance.
  • Direct financial experience with aircraft engines, including maintenance cost modeling, PBTH agreements, and engine asset valuation.
  • A strong understanding of engine life-limited parts (LLPs), maintenance planning cycles, and the operational drivers of engine costs.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role, guiding the work of other analysts.
  • Proficiency with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Proven ability to translate complex operational concepts and data into clear financial models and strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical, data-driven approach to complex issues.
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across various departments.
