Full Job Description
The Role

Lion Health System is seeking a hands-on Manager, Digital Workplace & AI Automation to help redesign how information, workflows, accountability, and institutional knowledge are managed across our hospital system.

This is not a traditional SharePoint administrator role.

You will work directly with senior leadership and department leaders to turn processes currently managed through spreadsheets, email, documents, meetings, and individual follow-up into structured, governed, automated systems using Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, and enterprise AI.

Our goal is to create an environment where leadership can reliably answer questions such as:
  • What requires attention this week?
  • Which projects and action items are overdue?
  • What regulatory, licensing, policy, or contract deadlines are approaching?
  • What commitments from management meetings remain unresolved?
  • Where are processes repeatedly breaking down?
  • Which policies or procedures are outdated or inconsistent?

What You'll Do

Build the Information Architecture
  • Rationalize SharePoint sites, libraries, Lists, pages, and permissions.
  • Establish authoritative sources of information.
  • Standardize metadata, taxonomy, naming, ownership, lifecycle, and archival rules.
  • Build structured registers for policies, projects, contracts, regulatory obligations, corrective actions, licenses, vendors, training, and other critical operational information.
  • Establish appropriate governance, retention, versioning, and access controls.

Automate Hospital Workflows

Work with department leaders to understand current processes and convert them into structured workflows with clear owners, required information, deadlines, status, escalation, completion, and audit trails.

Examples include:
  • Policy review and approval
  • Regulatory and licensing deadlines
  • Plans of Correction and corrective actions
  • Executive and committee action items
  • Project management
  • Contract and vendor renewals
  • Employee onboarding and training
  • Recruitment and vacancies
  • Credentialing deadlines
  • Life Safety deficiencies
  • IT/EHR projects
  • Recurring management reporting

Use SharePoint, Lists, Power Automate, Teams, Outlook, Power Apps, Power BI, and related Microsoft 365 tools where appropriate.

Build Management & Accountability Systems

Develop dashboards and workflows that help executives and department leaders identify:
  • Overdue commitments
  • Missing owners or information
  • Upcoming deadlines
  • Operational exceptions
  • Recurring problems
  • Project delays
  • Departmental trends
  • Items requiring management intervention

Prepare the Environment for Enterprise AI

Help structure the organization's information so controlled enterprise AI systems can eventually support:
  • Policy Q&A and conflict identification
  • Executive meeting preparation and follow-up
  • Action-item and project monitoring
  • Regulatory and survey readiness
  • Operational trend and exception detection
  • Recurring management reporting
  • Institutional knowledge
  • Process auditing
  • Executive decision support

You do not need to be an AI engineer. You should understand how AI uses enterprise information and the importance of permissions, information quality, human validation, auditability, and protecting PHI and other sensitive information.

What We're Looking For

Required:
  • 5+ years in Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, digital workplace, workflow automation, or related enterprise systems.
  • Strong SharePoint information-architecture experience: sites, libraries, Lists, content types, metadata, taxonomy, permissions, search, and governance.
  • Strong hands-on Power Automate experience.
  • Experience translating business processes into structured digital workflows.
  • Ability to work directly with executives and department leaders, understand an operational problem, design the solution, and help implement it.
  • Understanding of information governance, security, access controls, and records management.
  • Strong implementation and project-management skills.

Preferred:

Experience with Power Apps, Power BI, Purview, Teams, Viva, Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, enterprise AI, intelligent automation, or business-process improvement.

Healthcare experience is helpful but not required. Experience in another highly regulated industry is also valuable.

The Person We're Looking For

If the President says:

"Every Monday I want to know what requires my attention and which commitments are overdue."

We don't just want someone who says, "I'll build a SharePoint List."

We want someone who determines where the information should live, what needs to be structured, who owns it, how deadlines and escalation should work, what should be automated, how leadership should see it, and how AI can eventually analyze it reliably - and then helps build the system.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a help-desk position, traditional SharePoint administrator, pure software-development role, or AI research position.

This is a hands-on digital transformation role combining information architecture, workflow design, automation, governance, and AI readiness.

How to Apply

Please submit a résumé and a brief response:

You inherit a hospital environment where policies, projects, regulatory deadlines, contracts, corrective actions, and management commitments are spread across SharePoint, spreadsheets, documents, meeting minutes, and email.

The President ultimately wants to ask an enterprise AI assistant:

"What requires my attention this week?"

Briefly explain how you would structure the SharePoint/Microsoft 365 environment to make that question reliably answerable, and what you would prioritize during your first 90 days.

We are less interested in buzzwords than in seeing how you think and turn operational requirements into working systems.
