This role is focused on the Redken consumer business, so having a strong passion for social media and an innate sense of what makes branded content disruptive to the consumer audience is a must. You will serve as the dedicated content champion for your brand, working directly with marketing, advocacy, and digital teams to ideate, produce, and optimize branded content. You'll be pitching new concepts to brand stakeholders and executing production seamlessly from pre-to-post, all while adhering to industry-leading and retailer best practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Strategy and Planning
  • Strategic Road Mapping: In collaboration with brand stakeholders and cross functional partners, develop a yearly/quarterly digital content strategy aligned with the brand goals, tentpole moments, product launch calendars and digital marketing KPIs.
  • Asset Mapping & Management: Build and manage a centralized creative production calendar, outlining timelines from initial briefing to final delivery. Plan external support and resourcing in alignment with these content calendars.
  • Creator & Talent Networks: Develop UGC creator and talent networks in adherence with brand archetypes who can deliver premium paid social content tailored to the different stages of the consumer journey.
  • Creative Pitching: Proactively develop, build and pitch innovative visual concepts, storyboard ideas and platform placement strategies to brand stakeholders.

2. Content Creation and End-To-End Production
  • Project Management: Manage all project timelines, partners and tasks, ensuring all campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Content Execution: Oversee the end-to-end physical and digital production (planning, scripting, storyboarding, shooting, and editing) of net new video and still content. Ability to shoot agile content and understand basic filming best practices is a must.
  • Collaboration with Production Managers: Work hand-in-hand with other Content Production Managers to streamline workflows, share learnings, budget efficiently, manage crew/creatives, and ensure all output meets PPD's high aesthetic standards.

  • Asset Compliance & Delivery: Ensure all digital files are optimized for their respective platforms, fully compliant with legal requirements, and neatly archived in our digital asset management system.

3. Partnership & Collaboration
  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted creative consultant to the brand team, helping them translate traditional brand codes into authentic, owned content expressions.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Foster highly collaborative relationships with Brand Marketing, Advocacy/Influencer, Ecommerce, Education, and Media teams to ensure content supports broader activations and goals.

4. Performance Analysis, Testing and Optimization

  • Performance Monitoring & Insights: Work with cross functional partners to track and analyze creative data and performance metrics.Translate these metrics into highly digestible, actionable insights and recommendations for the brand.
  • A/B Testing: Design and execute structured A/B tests (testing different hooks, visual styles, or CTAs) to continuously improve content performance.
  • Optimization: Actively "growth hack" existing assets - making data-backed recommendations to repurpose, re-edit, or sunset underperforming content to maximize return on investment (ROI).

Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in content production or strategy across various channels (social media, influencer marketing, website optimization, e-commerce, CRM, content creation). Previous experience working within a creative agency, digital publisher, or a highly active consumer brand team is a plus.
