I. Job Summary
Directs the efforts of a team in the design, development, implementation, and support of various information technology/systems applications and/or projects.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by department.
  • Coordinates with business owners to determine business needs or requirements.
  • Plans initiatives and projects, establishes priorities and monitors progress.
  • Acts as a team leader or project manager and/or establishes and communicates common goal and direction for the team.
  • Evaluates status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness.
  • May coordinate with other managers to integrate project with applications and/or initiatives.
  • Prepares reports and presentations and necessary. Coordinates communication between peers, team, business owners and management.
  • Coordinates and oversees career development, performance management, pay determination and team communication.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities
The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job is management of supervisory employees. This includes:

  • Direct supervision of full-time employees including team leads and individual contributors.

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience.

Experience: Six (6) years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

May require in depth skills in one or more of the following: PeopleSoft HRMS, ERP implementation and support, large-scale data centers, application development projects, application testing, analytical skills, general IT knowledge, and project management.
  • Requires in depth skills in one or more of the following: large-scale data centers, distributed data center design principles, application testing, analytical troubleshooting skills, general IT knowledge, and project management.
  • Knowledge of or experience working in service ownership organizations which includes developing service level objectives, reporting on success/failure of reaching service level objectives and creating continuous improvement plans to meet or continue to improve service delivery objectives.
  • Advanced level of network connectivity technologies including but not limited to wired, wireless (Wi-Fi, RF Bridges, Mobile Networks), Firewalls, SDWAN, Network Performance Monitoring and Logging solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP Networking, DNS, DHCP, Voice/Video protocols and optimization technologies for providing consistent users experiences across network connectivity technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate to create strategic direction for solution/design patterns to align with business requirements, hardware lifecycle refresh programs, etc.
  • Skilled in building relationships with peer groups to deliver projects and initiatives at scale.
  • Experience in managing relationships with third party service providers and vendors to ensure successful fulfillment of service level agreements and project delivery.
