What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Data Engineering and Analytics will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and automating complex ETL and reporting processes for the Analytics and Portfolio Management team. Working closely with business, IT, Risk and Technology partners to deliver solutions that inform key business insights and drive accurate, clear, productivity gains. Leading tech infrastructure development, identifying gaps/opportunities in reporting and automation pipelines. And working with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using AI, Machine learning and statistical approaches.

What will you do?
  • In accordance with the SDLC, develop, test, implement and document transformation models and ETL processes, leveraging new and existing tools, such as SQL, Python, Large Language Model (Gen AI), and Agentic AI.
  • Coordinate activities and document results related to data scripts quality assurance, end user, acceptance testing, and post implementation verification.
  • Collaborate with business partners to quantify benefits from automation. Perform cost/benefit analysis including ROI, payback period and maintenance costs.
  • Develop, test, and implement executive and operational reports and dashboards utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
  • Raise the bar of data management and automation at FSS, including but not limited to driving data best practices, improving analytical processes, documentation and mentoring other team members.


What do you need to succeed?

Must Have
  • 5+ years of experience and expert-level skills in extracting and manipulating large datasets, Microsoft excels, SharePoint using scripting languages (e.g. Python) and data querying languages (e.g. SQL).
  • Experience in building & scheduling complex data pipelines
  • Experience in implementing database design and best practices (e.g. configuring schemas, DB sharding, setting indexes, integrity checks, creating views, etc.).
  • Experience in driving outcomes as project lead
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Resourcefulness and a genuine interest in problem solving
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering, or related field


Nice to Have
  • Experience or exposure to financial reporting or working in a financial operations environment.
  • Knowledge of agent design patterns and multi-agent systems. Evaluating agent performance, refine behaviors, and optimize for efficiency and accuracy
  • Experience with VBA is a plus, to modernize legacy tools
  • Work as champion for implementing best practices for Jira, confluence and GitHub
