Full Job Description
We are currently looking for a Manager, Corrosion Services for our Houston, TX office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for leading, developing, and executing Boardwalk Pipelines' corrosion control programs for natural gas and hazardous liquid pipeline systems. Provides strategic direction and technical oversight for external corrosion, internal corrosion, atmospheric corrosion, cathodic protection, corrosion monitoring, direct assessment, and regulatory compliance activities. Ensures corrosion control programs are implemented in accordance with federal and state regulations, company procedures, and industry standards while supporting safe, reliable, environmentally responsible, and efficient pipeline operations.

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline corrosion control, integrity management, or related engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience with cathodic protection systems, external corrosion control, internal corrosion monitoring, atmospheric corrosion inspections, and direct assessment methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of 49 CFR Parts 192 and 195 corrosion control requirements.
  • Experience managing corrosion programs for natural gas and/or hazardous liquid pipeline systems.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline integrity management principles and corrosion threat assessment.
  • Experience managing personnel, contractors, budgets, and capital projects.
  • Ability to evaluate corrosion data and develop risk-based remediation strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with Operations, Engineering, Compliance, and executive leadership.
  • Proficiency with corrosion databases, integrity management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.


PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • AMPP/NACE certifications (CP3, CP4, CP5, Corrosion Specialist, Internal Corrosion Technologist, or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting both transmission and gathering pipeline systems.
  • Experience with ILI corrosion assessments, corrosion growth analysis, and fitness-for-service evaluations.
  • Knowledge of AC interference mitigation and stray current mitigation programs.
  • Experience supporting PHMSA inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Participation in industry organizations such as AMPP, PRCI, INGAA, API, or GPA.
  • Experience leading multi-state corrosion programs.


REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other technical discipline with appropriate pipeline corrosion experience.


PREFERRED EDUCATION:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Corrosion Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • AMPP/NACE CP4 or higher certification.
  • AMPP Corrosion Specialist certification.
