Full Job Description
Responsibilities

The Corporate Accounting Department at Oaktree is seeking an Accounting Manager with a focus on operational accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining books and records of the Company's management company and general partner entities
  • Manage the offshore team and review daily accounting activities to ensure the timely and accuracy of accounting records
  • Assist in the preparation of journal entries by analyzing fund-level transactions and operational company activities
  • Review general ledger detail and prepare comprehensive flux analysis to identify key variances
  • Prepare detailed workpapers to support financial statement close and reporting process
  • Prepare and provide support for the preparation of the Company's internal and external filings, including preparing analyses, reviewing disclosures and providing feedback on suggested edits
  • Assist in development and maintenance of consistent accounting policies
  • Assist in reviewing existing processes for automation and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment, including documenting internal control processes, and compliance with regulatory literature


Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in accounting, preferably 3 or more years public accounting;
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting, operations, account analysis, and management reporting;
  • Excellent understanding of business operations and linkage to accounting in order to initiate and support process improvements and documentation of standard operating procedures;
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems;
  • Specific experience Workday system is a plus; and,
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (and/or equivalent experience. CPA preferred).

Base Salary

$105,000 - $140,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
