Job Description

Global Financial Crimes Compliance (GFCC) is an organization within Global Risk & Compliance (GRC) and is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions, and Anti-Corruption compliance functions. This team has global responsibility for identifying, investigating, and reporting suspicious activity, including money laundering and terrorist financing, and provides broad analytical and operational support for the company's enterprise-wide GFCC control framework.

Responsibilities

The newly created second-line GFCC Enablement organization leads and synchronizes the execution of GFCC strategic and transformational program development initiatives, including technology, data, and tools. This role owns the day-to-day authorship, maintenance, and evolution of the GFCC Data Governance Standard and the GFCC issue management framework, working under the direction of the Director, Data Enablement & Governance. This role is expected to drive independently data governance program and the standard's development, the CDE register, the model/non-model inventory mechanics, and the issue-management tracking framework to completion, in coordination with the Global Risk and Compliance Data Management Office (DMO) and first-line data owners, stewards, and custodians.
  • Own and maintain the GFCC Data Governance Standard, including its ongoing evolution to meet regulatory and enterprise policy requirements.
  • Build and maintain the GFCC critical data element (CDE) register and fit-for-purpose specification cards for GFCC's priority capabilities, including transaction monitoring.
  • Own the GFCC issue management framework end-to-end: tracking mechanisms, severity model, escalation channels (including channels specific to transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence per the Standard), and coordination with the DMO's tracking log.
  • Maintain the GFCC model and non-model data inventory in coordination with GRC Data Science and Model Risk Management, including source-system mapping and support for independent model validation requirements.
  • Coordinate directly with the DMO, Data Executives, Data Stewards, Data Custodians, and Business Process Owners to track remediation of data quality issues affecting GFCC systems, risk assessments, and KRI/KPI reporting.
  • Partner closely with GFCC leadership, GRC Product, GRC Data Science, AET Engineering, Internal Audit, and Model Risk Management to ensure the governance standard and issue framework are understood, adopted, and complied with across all three lines of defense.
  • Represent the governance and issue-management program in cross-functional forums, standing up and running the governance review cadence.
  • Partner closely with the ]Product, Technology, Data Science and other key stakeholders to execute the Financial Crimes data strategy.
  • Serve as a Business data owner in Data trains, partnering to embed data requirements to enable and supporting the compliance environments.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Direct experience authoring or operating a data governance standard, data quality framework, or issue management program within a regulated financial institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, drive a program from framework to operational reality, and coordinate across multiple stakeholder organizations without direct authority over them.
  • Experience with data governance/quality tooling and GRC platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Archer, ServiceNow IRM, or similar).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write standards and specifications that survive both a business review and a regulatory exam.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort operating in an ambiguous, newly-formed organization without fully mature processes in place.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior second-line (risk, compliance, or audit) experience specifically.
  • Familiarity with regulatory examination processes (FFIEC, OCC, or equivalent) and how governance artifacts are evaluated during exams.
  • Working knowledge of AML/BSA, sanctions, or financial crimes compliance domain sufficient to engage credibly with compliance SMEs (prior direct AML experience preferred but not required if governance/regulated-data background is strong).
  • Experience building, supporting, governing or working with enterprise data platforms.
