Summary

We're looking for a strategic communicator who can help shape how our company shows up in the world-through corporate storytelling, media engagement, and purpose-driven communications that highlight our impact on communities, employees, farmers, partners, and the broader food system.
This role sits at the intersection of corporate communications and impact communications. You will help develop and execute communications strategies that strengthen our reputation, support business priorities, and bring our mission to life through authentic stories and measurable results.

Responsibilities

Corporate Communications
  • Support proactive and reactive media relations, including drafting statements, talking points, Q&As, and press materials.
  • Develop communications plans for company announcements and partnerships.
  • Take the lead on framing out pitches and proactively reach out to media to build relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging is consistent across external channels.
  • Monitor media coverage and emerging issues, helping prepare coverage reports, timely responses, and recommendations.
  • Provide real time, competitive updates on relevant industry/regulatory news to continually shape internal conversations and story mining
  • Edit and update messaging used in external materials such as media kit and website.

Impact Communications
  • Lead communications efforts around community impact, workforce development, sustainability initiatives, and social impact programs.
  • Identify and develop compelling stories that demonstrate how the company's mission is creating real-world impact.
  • Partner with teams across the organization to gather data, milestones, and people-first stories.


Requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, agency communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for media, executives, employees, and community audiences.
  • Experience managing communications projects across multiple stakeholders.
  • Understanding of sustainability, community impact, or purpose-driven communications.
  • Ability to translate complex business initiatives into clear, compelling stories.
  • Experience with media monitoring, communications measurement, and campaign reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills, with a strong understanding of messaging, reputation management, and brand building
  • Effective project and time-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Trustworthy and credible; high level of integrity and excellent sense of judgment


The salary range for this full-time position is $94,000.00 - $147,950.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
