Full Job Description
SALARY: Starting Salary Opportunity: $96,000+

  • Actual base pay will depend and vary based on factors such as individual experience and skills of the applicant.


BONUS: Bonus at Target $24,000

  • This role may also be eligible for discretionary long-term incentive awards.


  • Variable Compensation opportunities are contingent on individual performance and overall business results, pursuant to the Bonus Plan; listed amount are targeted values and not guarantees.

LOCATION: Toronto Office, 5 days/week in office

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Commercial ZBB Manager is responsible for leading the implementation and ongoing management of zero-based budgeting processes within the organization. This role will involve working closely with various departments to develop and maintain detailed budget plans, analyze financial performance, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals. This role is responsible for analyzing financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring that all budgeting activities support the company's overall goals. This role's insights will help shape financial decisions and improve resource allocation, ultimately contributing to the company's profitability and growth.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Implement ZBB Framework: develop and deploy the zero-based budgeting process across all departments. Collaborate with departments to build and maintain budgets that reflect current operational needs and strategic priorities.
  • Analyze financial performance: monitor budget variances, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare financial reports.
  • Coordinate Budget Planning: manage the annual budget cycle and facilitate budget reviews with departmental heads.
  • Improve Budget Processes: enhance budgeting methods and tools for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: collaborate with finance teams and department leaders to align on financial goals and provide ZBB training.
  • Ensure Compliance: maintain adherence to financial controls & governance standards.
  • Lead with influence


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Financial management experience
  • Experience in ZBB and financial planning
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
