LOCATION: Toronto, ON

POSITION TYPE: Regular Full-time (37.5 hours/week)

HIRING RANGE: $83,200-$104,000

We are hiring a Manager for our Community Based Mental Health programs.

You will provide oversight, clinical direction, consultation, and operational leadership for staff working in community-based mental health services primarily supporting youth ages 12 to 25 and their caregivers within community, home, school, partner agency, and office settings. The Manager will oversee a variety of tasks across programs, support evidence-informed and culturally responsive service delivery, and guide staff in the use of data, outcome monitoring, and reporting to strengthen service quality and client outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in the visioning, creation and implementation of an integrated and accessible service across Lumenus, including various communities of practice;
  • Provide supervisory oversight of staff, including day-to-day service delivery, professional development, and performance management, while maintaining the values and vision of Lumenus;
  • Support staff in understanding clinical issues impacting clients with challenging needs, and the development of formulations which inform service direction;
  • Provide clinical consultation and direction to staff across programs, supporting case formulation, service planning, risk considerations, and coordinated responses to youth and caregiver needs.
  • Ensure staff participate in the development and evaluation of accessible services for diverse children, youth and their families, while considering the social determinants of health and experiences of systemic oppression;
  • Promote and strengthen collaborative service from evidence informed (based), interdisciplinary, and outcome driven perspective;
  • Promote the effective use of data collection, measurement, outcome monitoring, and reporting to inform service planning, quality improvement, and accountability.
  • Manage and support staff responsibilities related to data reporting, ensuring timely, accurate, and meaningful documentation of service activities and outcomes.
  • Provide oversight, clinical consultation, and coordination to ensure staff attend regular and ongoing training and DBT consultation as required.
  • Provide oversight of teams responsible for facilitating the 25-week DBT intensive psychotherapy group for youth and caregivers.
  • Provide direction and oversight of staff activities related to advocacy and system navigation;
  • Ensure that services are delivered in a flexible and adaptive manner including the delivery of services in the client home, community, school, partner agencies, courts, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with community partners in service delivery, to address community needs in order to build capacity;
  • Respond to societal trends, client needs, and local community issues through the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of effective services and outreach related to developmental concerns, mental health and substance use within a community capacity building and anti-racism/anti-oppression analysis and practice;
  • Assume on-call/management coverage responsibilities as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • M.S.W. or Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct clinical service experience with strengths-based, family systems, anti-racism/anti-oppression, community capacity building and youth engagement analysis and practice.
  • Previous experience working as a therapist providing therapy to clients using a variety of modalities, such as Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
  • Experience providing supervision or leadership within a team.
  • Experience supervising staff in clinical service delivery, documentation, data collection, and data reporting responsibilities.
  • Experience in mental health/substance abuse, developmental service sector service provision (intake, assessment of needs, developing formulations, collaborative service planning, individual counselling, parent/family counselling, trauma informed care, groups, youth friendly outreach and educational presentations).
  • Experience with engagement, support and service provision to children, youth, and their families in racialized communities;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide services in both evidence informed family and individual therapies, service coordination and "non-traditional" approaches, and anti-racist, culturally appropriate, community-based ways which are responsive to the needs of youth and their families.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Above-average verbal and written communication skills, including report writing, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of professional and community partners.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the benefits of data collection and experience using data to inform clinical practice, program planning, service quality, and outcome measurement.
  • Strong team building and collaboration skills.
  • A strong understanding of Anti-Black Racism, anti-oppressive practice, equity-informed service delivery, and culturally responsive approaches.
  • Knowledge related to Measurement-Based Care, equity theory, Anti-Black Racism, sexual orientation, and gender identity would be considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and client record software.
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
  • Comfortability working with clients with various backgrounds, developmental needs, neuro typical identity, disability, unhoused, or precariously housed individuals is an asset


ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Registration with the OCSWSSW or CRPO is required.
  • Satisfactory clearance under the Vulnerable Sector Screening process.
  • Flexibility to work in different locations as needed.
  • Be comfortable commuting to and working in a downtown Toronto office setting multiple days per week.
  • Fluency in French or other second language relevant to community is advantageous.
