Our Montreal office is looking for a Manager to join the Domestic Tax practice and own the following responsibilities:
- Lead client engagements for a wide variety of clients including small and medium enterprises
- Identify, as well as develop and implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities
- Preparing and reviewing tax reorganizations and reviewing corporate, trust and estate tax returns
- Build positive working relationships with clients
- Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis
- Engage in training staff and invest in the professional development of your team

Your experience and education
- You hold a Master’s or In‑Depth Tax Program
- CPA is a nice to have
- You have 5 years’ experience in public accounting with a specialization in Tax for a minimum of 2 years
- You have extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal and trust tax planning and compliance
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English, as you will interact with clients across Eastern Canada
- You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work
- You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Bilingual in English and French is required due to the frequent and complex contact with our English-speaking partners and clients in Quebec and outside of Quebec, and the need to draft documents in English, knowledge of English is essential for this position.
Flexibility: All BDO personnel are expected to spend some of their time working in the office, at the client site, and virtually unless accommodations or alternative work arrangements are in place.
