Purpose

The Manager, Business Analysis & Insights supports day-to-day business intelligence for Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Operations by delivering trusted management tools, operational and performance dashboards, and actionable insights and reporting that support effective operations execution.
The role partners with Operations leaders, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and regional teams to define performance measures, analyze drivers of service and/or cost outcomes, and translate data into clear recommendations that strengthen execution against service level agreements (SLAs), operational performance commitments (OPC), and control expectations.

What You'll Do:

Day-to-Day Performance Management Support
  • Produce recurring and bespoke operational performance packs and dashboards; validate data completeness and reconcile variances across sources as required.
  • Track and escalate emerging performance risks (e.g., SLA misses, backlog build, capacity constraints) with clear context and recommended actions.
  • Support governance routines by preparing materials, maintaining KPI definitions, and ensuring consistent measurement across regions and teams.


Analysis & Business Partnering
  • Conduct driver-based analysis across volumes, productivity, cost, quality, and risk indicators; translate findings into clear recommendations for operations and business leaders.
  • Consult operations and business teams on driving performance or mitigating risk through targeted analysis of key drivers
  • Work with Risk/Compliance partners to integrate control, incident, and operational risk metrics into performance views and ensure balanced scorecards.


BI Delivery, Data Quality, and Automation
  • Gather requirements and develop/maintain BI assets (e.g., dashboards, scorecards, data flows & extracts, standardized templates) to support GTB Operations priorities.
  • Establish and document KPI/KRI definitions, data sources, standard operating procedures, refresh cadences, and controls; implement checks to reduce manual errors and improve reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve self-serve access for stakeholders, in partnership with Technology and Engineering teams where necessary.


People Leadership (as applicable)
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, prioritization, and quality assurance for business analysts supporting GTB Operations reporting and insights.
  • Coach team members on analytical methods, problem solving, data storytelling, dashboard development, and stakeholder management; support development plans, employee engagement strategies, and performance objectives.


What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field (Masters degree/MBA or relevant designation is an asset).
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, business intelligence, management reporting, data analytics or performance management (financial services and/or operations experience preferred).
  • Strong hands-on capability with business intelligence and data tools (e.g., dashboarding-Power BI, data visualization, SQL or equivalent database querying) and advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to define KPIs/KRIs, document requirements, and build repeatable, scalable reporting solutions with strong controls, attention to detail, and business value.
  • Strong communication skills with experience preparing executive-ready materials and explaining complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with multiple priorities and deadlines, exercising sound judgement and discretion.


Working Conditions:

Standard scent-free office environment. This is primarily a non-physical role that involves working on a computer, reviewing documents, and maintaining attention to detail. The position requires balancing multiple priorities and deadlines while supporting important services and business needs. Occasional travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
